Nein, nine!

Aaron somehow found the will and strength to wake up at 6 a.m. and go wash our clothes in the conveniently located wash room in the hostel.  He complained endlessly when he got back as I sleepy stretched. Something about everyone always washing their clothes around the clock…

We packed and headed out, stuffing our packs in the lockers downstairs. We wanted to go hike some more, but laziness set in. We ended up walking around Interlaken and enjoying the weather. Continue Reading…

Should have been a school teacher

Kim proved me wrong again in her ability to maximize her amount of sleep while still accomplishing all a day has to offer. Kim’s coworker had highly recommended an activity in Interlaken called canyoning while I wanted to hike some more as well. My fears of sleeping until 10 a.m. and still being able to do both were definitely unwarranted.

We booked our canyoning trip as soon as we woke up for the next time slot available, 1:30 p.m. This gave us enough time to grab some lunch. We walked around aimlessly for a time looking for Kim’s craving of brunch, on a Wednesday, at 11:00, in Interlaken. Yielding no great options, we wandered into a cafe named after the French capital but without the Parisian prices or ambiance. The food was fine but overpriced as with most restaurants in Interlaken. We Own the Sky

Aaron and I sleepily woke up around 10 a.m., just before the free hostel breakfast was closed. There was not much to eat so I settled on bread and Nutella.

We got our plans together and decided to paraglide. We had a really hard decision (hang glide vs paraglide vs skydive). Although we both really want to skydive, we decided that the view in Interlaken would be a bit wasted if we couldn’t hang in the air a bit longer.
